Volunteering at CCA...
Columbia Center for the Arts (CCA) depends upon the generous support of our volunteers to support and sustain our theatre, the gallery and lobby and their art exhibits and Education and Outreach and all of their educational programs. We invite you to join us in helping the Center and all its programs grow and thrive. We couldn’t sustain ourselves without your support.
(A background check may be done for any volunteer handling money.)
Current Volunteer Positions:

Front Desk Greeter: Do you enjoy learning and talking about the arts with others? Would you like to sharing your knowledge of our community and our wonderful arts culture with neighbors and visitors from around the world? Join our team of volunteer greeters and help us bring our community arts center back for everyone!

We are seeking volunteer greeters to work 3 hours shifts each week to welcome visitors to the arts center! The schedule would be Noon to 3pm or 3pm to 6pm any day Wednesday through Sunday. You could volunteer for only one three-hour time slot or multiple - it's up to you! We'd love to be able to have the center open regular business hours and have a friendly local volunteer at the front desk greeting our visitors and sharing our mission with the world. Bring your smile and join us!

Volunteer Coordinator: Are you a great team manager and organizer that enjoys working with other volunteers to make our community better? Columbia Arts is seeking a lead volunteer to coordinate shift schedules and duties for our volunteer team. We expect this position would serve 1-2 hours a week. Dust off that clipboard and lead our team!

Building Committee: The Columbia Center for the Arts building is wholly owned by the nonprofit. Nineteen years ago, the community raised the funds to purchase the building and remodel it to house a theatre, gallery, workshop space and common areas. We are seeking community members who know about building systems maintenance and repair to help ensure the building is well cared for and advise the Board on building repair and improvement needs so we can be sure to plan for those costs. We expect this committee would meet 4 times a year. Bring along your measuring tape and join us!
